Much like many of you I have been so moved by the rescue of the 33 miners in Chile. My immediate reaction as I watched the capsule go into the mine was that was what Jesus did for me. I immediately called to mind, Psalm 23:6:
“Your beauty and love chase after me every day of my life.
I’m back home in the house of God for the rest of my life”
When I think of a rescue I don’t think of Jesus in a cape coming in and sweeping me off my feet— I picture something like this. The Chilean President and said he was not giving up until he found the miners. While God knows exactly where we are He goes to great lengths to reach us, make contact with us, ensure our safety, and rescue us. The awesome thing is it does not stop there—he restores us, heals our wounds, nurses us back to health and gives us victory over all that besieged us!
The headlines quotes and quotes for miners all speak of rebirth, new life, a new day. Much like the world will quickly forget of this story and the feels in brought us, sometimes we forget our dramatic rescue. We get so caught up in day to day life that we forget we owe everything to the one who rescued us. These miners will forever be known and label themselves as one of the 33 rescued. I can hear it playing out in a coffee shop “Yeah, that guy over there he was one of the minors rescued, he told me all about it. Its a crazy story, he’s never been the same”. How much more should we be screaming from the roof tops of the rescue and work that God continues to do in our lives! As Revelation 12:11 “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb says and by the word of their testimony” I We forget the power that lies in our testimony!! It is a weapon of war that will defeat the enemy! love it!!
Today, I encourage you to remember and thank the Lord for your rescue. As we allow our attitude and thought process to be shaped by all we’ve come from we gain a huge amount of perspective. When we reside in that place of gratitude–His yolk is easy, His burden is light, and His commands are our pleasure.

Kelly another great one! We are never too far away from God’s hands, He loves us so. Thankfullness is a priority each day – wouldn’t it be a sad thing if these men were to forget and become bitter for what they lived through negating the rescue all together …. Like the Isrealites we all can become forgetfull of the mighty acts of our God …. That’s why we have each other to recount God’s goodness…Nice thing is God doesn’t just rescue us once – He does it over and over from ourselves: negative mindset, condemnation , others: hurtful words, hurtful deeds , and lets not forget satan’s terrible atttacks he comes to rob , kill and destroy! Praise God he is ever present in times of trouble _ May we always remember to give thanks !!! Praying for you Kelly love ya!!!

Amen Kelly! It is so important not to take our Savior for granted. For all He’s done and continues to do, He is worthy of our highest praise. Thanks for the reminder to ponder on that day when we first heard the sound of His amazing grace. Love you.
